This cake was my first attempt at using airbrushed colors. I recently saw a video about the Indian art form Rangoli, which inspired this design.
I started by covering the entire cake in an ordinary buttercream.
Using the airbrush, I added concentric circles of color.
On top of the colors, I piped on frosting to make the Rangoli patterns.
And the cake is complete.
